The invitation

See needs, not labels.
Designed for people, not diagnoses.
Society has spent decades cataloging medical conditions instead of enabling human potential. BIPSO is starting a movement to shift the focus from what someone has, to what they can do and what they need to thrive.
The problem — trapped in labels
We live in a world designed around medical files, not real lives.
Today, having a disability means constantly re-explaining medical details just to access basic services, transport, cultural venues, or digital platforms. Systems see an impairment, a form, or an administrative barrier — rarely the individual. Why should accessing the world require sharing your entire medical history?
The shift — from disability to capability
The future of inclusion isn't medical. It's functional.
Focus on capacities
People are defined by their ambitions, talents, and daily activities — not their diagnoses.
Communicate needs, not illnesses
A service provider doesn't need to know a pathology; they just need to know if you need step-free access, plain text, screen-reader audio, or extra boarding time.
Dignity and privacy
You should control how your needs are communicated, effortlessly and securely, without ever feeling reduced to a medical label.
The movement — building an inclusive tomorrow
Services should adapt to people, not the other way around.
When digital environments and everyday services understand functional needs seamlessly, barriers disappear. Inclusion isn't a favor or a special accommodation — it is the baseline of modern society.
Join the movement.
